Old Stock Certificates - Oregon Corporations

Thank you for your inquiry regarding old stock certificates. The computer records of the Corporation Division contain active and inactive corporations. Corporations that went inactive prior to 1985 have been purged from the computer system; however, they are still available in microfiche.

If you would like the inactive microfiche records of the Corporation Division to be searched for a corporation, the fee is $10.00. Please use our convenient order form to place your order. We accept personal checks, and Visa or MasterCard. If we find any record of a corporation by the name requested, we will send you a copy of it’s document file, which includes the original articles of incorporation plus any amendments to the articles. If we find no record of the name, you will be sent a Certificate of No Record.

The records of the Corporation Division do not contain any financial information.

When corporations have been dissolved, but still had assets they were unable to distribute, those assets may be held by the Unclaimed Property Unit of the Oregon Division of State Lands, until they are claimed. You can contact the Unclaimed Property Unit to determine if they are holding assets for the corporation named on your stock certificate. They can be reached at:
