Oregon Registered Agent Service Companies

The Secretary of State does not make any recommendation or endorsement of any business or individual listed below. Most Oregon businesses are able to list an officer, owner or employee and the business street address for their registered agent and registered office.

A registered agent is an individual or a business entity located at a physical street address in Oregon, whose sole responsibility is to accept legal documents (service of process, lawsuits, liens, subpoenas, etc…) on behalf of the business.

Each corporation shall continuously maintain in this state a registered agent and registered office that may be, but need not be, the same as any of its places of business.

Requirements to be a registered agent:
•  An individual who resides in this state and whose business office is identical to the registered office.
   Or,
•  A registered domestic or foreign business entity such as a corporation, limited liability company,
   professional corporation or nonprofit corporation authorized to transact business in this state whose
   business office is identical to the registered office.

Note:
Most Oregon businesses are able to list an officer, owner, or employee and the business street address for their registered agent and registered office address.

Registered agent service companies typically charge $250 or more per year for this service. Your attorney or accountant may also offer this service.
